The

The
Salmon season of Kemiriver in last summer was problematic and varieting.
There were salmons in the river, but the warm weathers made many
fishermen to go home with empty hands.
At
the beginnig of the season a lot of seatrouts were caught, even big ones.
At the normally best running time the water was so warm, that the
salmons returned to the open sea area. Only some individuals were caught.
I
was fishing this river, when august changed to september. At the
end of season a lot of grilses (kossi in fin = 1 - 3 kilos salmons) were
caught by rowing and trolling. Extra were some seatrouts, too.
We
saw a lot of tailing fishes, but our team caught only one seatrout. A
lot of fishes to eat we caught. Our two boats got about twenty good size
perches, two zanders and three pikes.
Septerber
was again much better than summermonths. The end of season will be at
the end of november, when the schools of seatrouts run into the river.
The fishway of Isohaara is emtied every day, still you could see there a
lot of salmonides. It is interesting to watch through the windows, how
big fishes in the river are.
