Autumn Winds Follow
This
Indian Summer
The
protection of trouts in running waters is now on in the rivers, where
trouts spawn and increase naturally. For flyfishermen there is a lot of
put-and-take waters open, specially in Southern Finland. It is a pity,
that many excellent old troutwaters still are only put-and-take. Who wants
to flyfish natural born fishes, has to go fishing pikes in the sea and
lakes. Of course there is many nice lakes with whitefishes to catch.
Rod
and reel fishermen will have a very long open water season this year,
because the water temperatures are very high after this indian summer. In
the sea-area surface temperature is still about 20 centigrades, when
normally it is under 15 at this time of the year. Pikes are now in the
hitting mood. There is rumours of good catches in Houtskari and Inio areas.
When water temperature is under 12 centigrades, will the seatrout season
begin, too.
The
winds of autumn can be unexpectable. The termsurffishing does not mean
fishing in heavy storms. It is dangerous to go out for fishing to outer
rocks in stormy weathers. When the windy weather is over, the swells
stay still on. that is the time to go surffishing for seatrouts. Now,
it is Important to check up and to improve the safety equipments of
your boat. Perhaps you have forgotten some important things in the
boathouse, because the summer was perfectly nice.
Use common sense
while fishing with boat this time of the year. Tight Lines!

Most of these pikes
were released. The boys had a running water fish chest in their boat. |
