September 11. is the first day of yerly protection of trouts in river, where they spawn and propagate naturally. The protection is over 16th of november. If a flyfisherman does not want to carry on his hobby in put-and-take waters, but wants natural born fishes on his line, whitefish is a good choice. In Finland there is lot of lakes, where flyfishing whitefishes is possible. Jani has devlopped this small pupafly already quite a long time.. This summer it has showed its capacity in whitefishfishing. Jani's Pupa is a must fly for whitefish. Jani has schooled both fishes and fishing companions with this delicacy.

Use very thin tippet 0,10-0,14 mm. It holds even with big fishes, when you use between your flyline and leader Shock Gum by Roman Moser.  When the fly has to be served on the surface, grease the bearhair wing. When fishes are active subsurface, grease the tip of tippet, the the fly hangs just under the surface film.


            

Base the hook shank with thread and fasten the wire. Dub the abdomen with olive antron. Fasten the rib.

            

Tie a small bunch of bear underwool as a wing.

            

Dub the thorax and head with black antron.
