Wonderful
May and
Gentle June
May
is the most versatile time in fishing. Pikes, zanders, trouts, whitefishes
and baltic herrings are hitting eagerly on lures and baits. In june
perches will be in the mood, too.
Earlier
fishing in spawning times was important way to get food in Finland.
Nowadays fishing is mainly hobby. People with long standing nets catch too
much fish in springtime, even to waste them in carbage. Should us
sportfishermen show them examples, how to fish with sense? I myself have
decided to limit my fishing in spawning times. The pikes in outer
archipelago may have their weddings in piece. Zander fishing I will start
when spawning is over, then the big ones are hungry. These are my personal
decisons, I do not mind what others are doing.
What
should be the moral in put-and-take waters. The first rule is to follow
the local limits. If there is a certain number of fishes to take with,
follow it. More fun to more fishermen! It is very difficult to get
information of natural born fishes. Always when restoring a river they
should think the developments in long time. It is ok to put bigger
fishes for fishermen, but the main point must be developing the natural
born of fishes.
You
have be very careful, when you fish natural born trouts. There should be a
method to mark put-and-take fishes. When so it is easy to pick fishes to
eat and release the wild ones.
Norwegian
fishfarming has done it again! They lost in Arctic Sea in the fjord of
Teno 100 thousand salmons and 40 thousand rainbows from the farming nets.
These refugees can spoil the future of the best atlantic salmon river in
the world, Teno. The talk of this
catastrophe has been in press too mild. Nobody is brave enough to say
negative things about our neighbours norwegians. Our politicians must act
fast and strong. Who of us allows his neighbours to empty their wastes and
shits in our backyards.
Know Your
Limit,
don't Kill Your Limit!
